Albert Jr. Robinson

December 23, 1941 — August 12, 2016

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and uncle, Albert Robinson, Jr. transitioned into his heavenly rest on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Covenant Healthcare-Harrison. Age 74 years. He was born December 23, 1941 in Moorehead, Mississippi to Albert Robinson, Sr. and Ernestine Banks.
Albert married Betty G. Garner, a devoted wife, on May 20, 1973. He served many years as a Deacon of Place of Worship under the leadership of Pastors Steven and Esther Clark. He served with the United States Army and was awarded a Parachutist badge. Albert was the owner of his own lawn care business and he also worked in various plants, foundries and companies across the state including General Motors (Saginaw Malleable and Grey Iron Foundry) and The Dow Chemical Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, camping, swimming, water skiing and watching many sport games. Albert was the first African American at Saginaw High School to Pole Vault, holding the record for many years. Al had the gift of ministering in song. He loved directing the male chorus, The Holy Men of God. If you were not ready to sing, Al was. He was a jack of all trades; there was nothing he could not do!
