Derrick D. Hughes
Derrick D. Hughes passed away Thursday, January 12, 2012 at his residence. Age 44 years. Derrick was born August 24, 1967 in Saginaw, Michigan to Zebedee Griffin and Leola McKinley-Griffin.
He was employed as a salesman at Dish Network.
Derrick leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Leola Griffin; six sisters, Ester Shorter, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Alma (Odell) Strain, Little Rock, Arkansas, Elenora (John) Smith, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Donna Hughes, Debra Brown, Sheila Austin all of Saginaw, Michigan; two brothers, Keith Hughes, Saginaw, Michigan, Arteria Hughes, Los Angeles, California.
He was predeceased by his father, Zebedee Griffin.

I was saddened to learn of Derrick's death, and I would like to express to you my sincere sympathies. We were classmates at AHHS, and he will be missed. I didnt see him often, but when I did, it was like, we were never out of touch, always glad to see each other..."Derrick" will truely be missed. I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Derrick. He was a good friend of mine at Arthur Hill. I enjoyed watching him play baseball throughout high school. I hadn't spoken to him in a long time, but the thing I will remember most about him in school was he was always smiling. Rest In Peace Derrick <3
